I think its an astrea star not 100% sure there's 2 of these I've noticed should I jeep or remove

Yea he eats the coraline I saw him move from a spot and the coralline was gone but I have so much coralline and rock I'm not really worried about it if they populate like crazy like some people say then I'd do something but there's only 2 and I haven't seen anymore in a couple months

I had some attach to some zoas I had and eat them but it is really hit or miss on whether or not they are bad. However, they can crawl into overflows and pumps and clog things up, mostly in small pumps though.

I don't have any corals but whenever I get ready to add some ( still waiting for a bigger tank) then I'll remove them I have a 35 going rn but I'm really hoping to get a 55 next week so I have a good bit of space for a few corals

If you're seeing one, they're are likely many, many more that you're not seeing. Under the right conditions, they breed rapidly.

Personally, I like them. I actually go out of my way to introduce them to my tanks. They're excellent detrivores, and a valued part of my cleanup crew. If they get way out of hand, a Harlequin Shrimp will knock them back. The reef club I belonged to years ago had a pair of them we'd move around from tank to tank, as needed.

On the other hand, some people have ended up with species of these things that are documented coral eaters. From what I've seen, if the thing is white to off white on top, you're probably safe. If it is mottled brown on top, it could well be one of the coral predators. Can't really blame folks who have had this problem for wanting to eradicate them entirely.

This one is actually black with a tiny bit of grey the other is the same color combo they eat my coralline but not to an extent that it worries me I took all my rock out to clean my sand bed and I didn't notice any more if they get out if hand I'll do something about it
