Well I found it just like that in my sump, so I don't know if the polyps have ever extended. Should I put it in the DT?I was going to say possible pocillipora? What does it look like in the water with polyps extended? Picture please?
Just live rock. And I was using a plant LED light for my chaeto, but it keeps dying. Plus I found this at the bottom of the sump, under the rocks...really weird to meHeck, I would. I don't think it's anything that's a threat. What do you have in your sump? Live rock? Rubble? Any acros that might look similar but different color? Any lights over the sump?
This is intriguing.

It's odd for sure. I don't have any acros, so to find one in my sump is even more weird...I bet you that's it! Wild that it grew that much in the sump.
Will do in a few!I contend it's a dead acro skeleton with bright green algae slime growing on it.... but I would need closeup pics or to see it in person.
It is not slimy and I haven't seen any polyps extend yetthat looks like a painted acro coral skeleton. Could have been accidentally included in your rubble. is is slimy to the touch? did you see any polyps extend when in the tank?
