Not what what algae this is

I know it's probably asked a lot. I've been in the hobby for about a year and this specific tank is 6 months or so old. It started about 7 days ago and seemed to happen over night. Thanks in advance

Looks to me like dinoflagellates

It looks like red cyanobacteria which I have in my aquarium as well. I am mostly physically removing it. I have been researching the forum to validate my approach.

Does it/yours ever form really long strings like in the picture of my brach live rock? That's the only thing throwing me off.
