Hey all. I got the Seneye Reef monitor but it's not wireless. Any suggestions for a small notebook or tablet with Windows and a full size host USB port? It'll be dedicated to the tank. Thanks!

I hope it doesn't make my seneye claims or diatribe less reliable or entertaining that I don't :)

I report people's seneye measures for ammonia and compare them to non seneye ammonia reads and watch the carnage unfold as two trains full bore straight in.

People's view on what cycling really does was made clearer by seneye, not sure which devices to use as support hardware, any device measuring ammonia in there thousands ppm is a breath of fresh air. I'll lateral flea flicker pass to @Jon Malkerson

I just saw the BRS-TV's YouTube episode on SenEye. The host, Thomas, mentioned a hack that makes use of $100 PC-Stick. I'm debating between using SenEye with this PC Stick or going with Apex.

@NOHtorious thank you for posing the video. Based on it I went out and bought a mini PC for my Seneye.

I had been using a $100 refurbished Dell laptop that I got just for the Seneye. But there is no place to really keep a laptop in my stand, so I have just been using the Seneye for occasional PAR measurements. It has spent most of its time in a drawer. Now it can serve as some backup indication for my tank. Not to mention the five slides I have that have also just been sitting there.

In the video they show disabling the Windows login to allow full startup. What I decided to do was install TeamViewer. When the PC starts I remote in to log on. The remote access will also be nice incase anything else needs to be done with it. I do have it plugged into a UPS, so I shouldn't have to access it often.

Here's the mini PC that I got. When I bought it a couple of days ago it was on sale for $100. The setup and windows updates all went fine. It has only been a day, but so far so good.
