Looks like my scarlet molted. Admittedly finding a pile of legs was alarming but little fellow is still alright haha.

I was just coming to post a similar thread since my thin striped hermit just molted today. He was hiding way up in his shell so I just saw what looked like an empty shell on a rock and his little body on the sand under it. ;Dead About a half hour or so later I saw him peeking out of the shell. Darn things. ;Shifty

My thinstripe hermit crab did the same about a week ago and got a similar reaction from me!
