Been slowly adding stock over the last 5 months - and now feel I’ve enough in place and will wait for this to grow on. Already seeing some good growth on a number of the corals. Water quality is very stable - really think I’m benefitting from being patient in the build up.

Beautiful tank!
I hope when they all grow on it will be amazing - I’m going to leave everything alone for at least six months and see how they all develop. At this moment in time everything seems happy in its place (even if the text books suggest something different)

A seasoned reefer would have such patient
This is my first attempt at a reef tank - I’ve been a Malawi fan for many years and wanted a new challenge. Must say I wish I’d done it sooner. I think the key, as a newbie, is to invest in the right equipment, mature the tank properly and add stock gradually. I hate ‘mistreating’ Livestock so my water management (testing etc) is probably a bit over the top - on top of that it’s an expensive hobby to get wrong.
