NP Bacto Balance with DSB tank

Hi, I would like to understand if someone is using NP Bacto balance for a tank with DSB. It seems that this product and in general the methods based on bacteria reproduction, do not fit with the DSB. What is your experience on this? Thanks

It appears to be a carbon source also with trace elements. People do both of these things with DSBs.

What about the UV lamp? for a bacteria reproduction method is it advisable to keep it on? or maybe better to switch it off to avoid killing bacteria in the water?

I don’t think a uv needs to be changed when using a product like this.
