hi everyone, my nitrate levels are a little less than 25 ( between 10 and 25 according to salifert ) i started yesterday dosing -NP Pro i started with 2.5 ml on every 100 liters i have a 300 gallons + sump,
i am still dosing vodka 4 ml 4 times a day ( 16 ml vodka) can i keep them both running or i should stop the vodka and does it need a fridge ?
i am running also a UV light like 8 hours a day and phosphate minus ( around 400 grams) and a some zeovit mix like 600 grams

Are you dosing the NP Pro doser version? It does not need refrigeration but cooler temperature is preferable. I would suggest to slowly lower down your vodka uses as together these can bring down your NO3 pretty fast.

In my experience of using it, and what i heard elsewhere on the forums, i would keep using vodka as anirban said, and reduce that slowly once you have nitrates where you want them. Np pro seems to have a more subtle effect than something like red sea nopox which tends to annihilate nitrates very quickly (which is not always desirable)

thank you guys for the quick replies, i will test again in couple of days to see where i stand on No3 and how to regulate the doses next, i will keep posting the results for future reference for other newbies like me with similar issues

but overall i like the aquaforest products i am using now bunch of them
