NPS experts - I think my rhizotrochus typus just spawned!

Wow this went on for quite some time, good thing I happened to notice. I've had this one for many years and have been keeping them since they secretly made it into the trade a long time ago. I've never seen anything like this. It kept contracting every 5 or so minutes, I did manage to get a clip of that as well. I suppose this could be digestion but it went on way too long, and typically it releases more solid waste.

Austin Aqua Farm had some for $139 each, they had three. I should have grabbed them they were very small

Unfortunately I only have one so I don't think I'll have babies but I will wish and hope for them. There was one person who did get babies in 2009 there was a reef builders article about it. They had several though. I've had this guy for many years and I watch my tank all the time. I've never seen this.

I'm in Canada so it might be even harder to acquire another. I already started poking around and don't have any leads yet. Of course it may take many years for them to reach sexual maturity too.

Within the last 2 weeks, a reef keeper from Facebook , said his boss just acquired five of them from a person getting out of the hobby. How much they ask for, who knows.

I was going to try to buy that baby from him, make more babies, and retire off of that. I was already dreaming I was enjoying the Florida Sunshine.
