I definitely had a fun time building mine. It was very rewarding and you can make it exactly what you want. It is much easier than I expected it to be. If you go that route just make sure that you save the little rubble pieces and break them up into powder with a sledgehammer, I had plenty or rock left over from mine but had to keep busting up rubble for the powder.

No, they are a poor habitat for fish.

Fun to build but be mindful of coral placement, lighting, flow, and fish habitat.

depends on what you want... a show piece from corals and esthetic design - or a combination of the needs for your corals and your fish - I like to not be able figure where all the fish are sometimes because they are in their hidey and they like to too

Guys, jumping in here. Those that built the NSA, was it a new tank? I have removed rock from a five year old tank to remodel. Have corals and fish. Very interested in an NSA. But wondering about how to acclimate a new build into an existing system. Any suggestions?
