Nuclear Green Palys are my favorite palys out there. I do not have any, but have watched everyones pics and comments about them. Are they some of them that are tough to keep? There is a thread on now about armegedons melting. Is nukes on that list? I had some green death a little while back and no matter what I did they finally melted away. I have several other zoos, kryptonites, pinks, oreo, and some red skirt orange centers I got from liveaquaria that all open fine and look great. They are in a 90 with 260 watts of pc light.

I have NG and they are anything but delicate They seem to be a lot like my PDs I can take a razor blade cut off a polyp and glue them to a plug and they are open in about a hour I would be shocked if they just melted for no good reason

My NGs are on the bottom of a 20g tank with PC and NO T5s (not a lot of light about 4-5watts per gallon) They look good and are growing

nuclear greens are very hardy ime. the only ones i know of to be finicky are armegeddons and pink elephants.

Mine have never opened up and have only slightly grown. They really don't like something about my tank while my PDs are doing fine. I have no idea what to try next with them though.

My Nuclears have been the slowest growing zoas in my tank. I have PDs right next to it that were put in at the same time and the PDs have taken off, but the NGs have only added one new small polyp.

i have a couple of nuc green polyps and for me theyre pretty slow growers too but when i got them they were ~1/8" in size
now theyre about ~1/4" and its been about 1 month i think
pds are much larger at around 1/2" right now and growing, they started budding like crazy and just stopped

I guess someone would have to compare everybodys water, lights, etc. and see what they like the best! I wonder what the difference is between the tanks they do good in and the tanks they do not? The other day someone listed a pic of a cluster of 30 or 40 and said he started with one polyp. Obviously he is doing something right. I know he had them on the bottom in the shade.

I started out with 5 polyps of NG's in November. I started to target feed them with a turkey baster and now there are about 40 polyps. I do find them hard to frag though.
