so I had an infestation of nudis on a couple of frags that I bought. after I discovered the little #$%#@^s I pulled all the zoanthids out and dipped them in a solution of Potassium Permagenate 50mg/l and some fresh mixed saltwater, and let them sit for 20 min. The Zoanthids looked pretty bad for about a week, but the solutions killed all the nudis and disolved the egg clusters. it might not be something that you want to dip fragile Zoas in, but it worked very well for me. I will document the process next time I do a dip.

This process was discussed in RC by Borneman as killing Monti-eating nudis and he also noted that it had no effect on Zoanthids.

I'll try to find the link. The chem is available at most pond supply stores in large quantity. it comes as a granulated solid. at 50mg/l of water, you're measuring a tiny amount of the potassium, so a container will last you a LONG time.

Kigs: I just dipped some misc pink Palys and some wannabe AoGs

Thats a great find , I would beinterested in geting some as well for my dips of new zoos

Yeah, 5lbs would last at least 1 lifetime at 50mg/l. I got some doses measured out for me by a local chem teacher who had big problems w/ monti-eating nudis
