I know the pics are blurry. My phone dosent take good pics through glass. Especially not close up. But I though maybe if this was something thats pretty common, someone would recognise my blurry blob! Its very small. a little smaller thanan eraser on a pencil. Its brownish pink. It moves like a slug kinda. And if I smush it to the glass its like a jelly blob. Its weird. Its pretty flat too. It has 2 knobby antennas but I can barley see them. I know these are horrible horrible pictures. Probably usless. But i figured id post them anyway. Maybe they might be at least a little help lol.

Its round with the exception of its head. Its also almost transparent. I had a Stomatella snail blowing clouds imto the water about a week ago. I learned that was it spawning. As far as I know, I only have 1 Stomatella in my tank. But if there are more than 1, could what im seeing be a baby Stomatella? It has no shell, but maybe it takes a little time for them to grow a shell? Im trying to get a better pic.

Sorry but it having 2 antenna excludes that from the flatworm family

As they say when in doubt pull it out
Most all flatworm when disturbed will run quickly

This is a great pic from nudibranch.com that shows how they can have little knob... looking.... type... things. ..... Don't get lost in all my technical words there. LOL.

It looks a lot like the flatworm you mentioned. I googled the species and its like that. But its also like the nudis in the pic you just posted. It has the "knobby" type thing you were talking about. I thought that was its head lol.

Ahhhhhh.... I see the mix up. That's the source of the photo, the website nudibranch.com, not what the photo is of. I was just giving photo credit.

Oooh ok! So I definitely have a flatworm then..... :-( well thats so fun! I read an article on this species saying they dont do much harm to coral. I have acros and montis and several other sps im worried about. Acros in particular. Arent flatwoems REALLY bad for acros? Or Was the article I read correct about this particular species not doing much harm? It saod the only issue os that the worms block light pretty much.

I read in one study the ill effects from blocking light was not seen until the coral was greater than 50% covered. Flatworms actually interfere with the coral's consumption of zooplankton. They capture some before the coral can get it, they block the mouth so the coral can't eat it and they also steal it right from the coral's mouth. They also found the corals with flatworms had less mucous than the ones without flatworms. Yours are among that crowd, I'm afraid. How many do you see?

Sorry I forgot to amswer that question before. I only see 1. I saw 1 about 2 weeks ago too. I took it out. My rock is so full of stuff that I cant really see if there's any on the rocks or not. I only notice things when they're on the glass.

I actually figured there weren't many because there were no others in the picture. If they were "trouble numbers" there would be more in that shot. A few are interesting and harmless, it's when they invite their friends to the party, that the cops need to be called.
