Hey Reefers,

Yesterday I noticed several small ( about 1/8" ) white looking hitchhikers on the glass and frag racks in my spa tank. They look like tiny nudibranch and at first I thought they may be Berghia perhaps that hatched from some eggs from a recent frag addition 10 days ago?

But upon a close up photo they don't look like they have the same amount of Cerata as the photos I see of Berghia's .. but is this because there still juvinile perhaps?

Can anyone ID these? Would be nice to know I have desirable hitchhikers for a change.

Heres my best iPhone photo I could get looking down on the top as it was on the side of the rack:

And if you know who gave you your nudi infested frags

Invite yourself over

Tell him your going to clean his frag tank for him

With soap

Thanks for the quick reply guys! Sure enough when I looked under my Monti frags I could see at least a dozen or more getting to work.:(

So the good news is they are only in my QT Frag tank and only cheap red Monti so not a problem to ditch completely. I also am QTing a 8 line wrasse currently so I've moved all the monti frags into his tank and he's have a field day eating them!

My plan is to let him work on them for a couple of days then maybe dip one piece and put it back to my QT frag tank to try to lure any remaining nudibranch onto it and them remove to feed wrasse and redip, rinse and repeat etc. Do this a few times to see if I can eradicate them without having to tear down my whole 65 gal sps QT.

Biggest concern is if they can damage my Acropora , Chalices, Acans, Lobos or Ephylia's? Thats where my $$ are currently.
