Hey lovely’s! What type of Nudibranch do you think this is?

Their shells are flat like a fingernail on their back, and the color blends with their tissue so it’s hard to see. Google image stomatella snail and see if it looks the same. It’s hard to tell from your pictures.

I googled away. Doesn’t look the same at all. I scrapped the top with my finger nail. It’s all fleshy.

I'm not familiar with that specific species, telling by the fact it's living in the tank then it most likely feed off of something in the tank. A common thing with nudibranchs is they often look like what they eat, so maybe it eats detritus? I would play it safe and discard it unless somebody can prove its' harmlessness.

It is a Dermatobranchus nudi as KJ mentioned and NOT reef safe as it primarily feeds on polyps !!
I would remove asap and hope there is no eggs present

Hmm I wonder what the diet is for these guys, can’t find any definitive info on the web.
That's because most species of nudibranchs have a highly specialized diet and each species diet varies tremendously.

For instance, Flabellina pedata & Cratena peregrina consume hydroids. Berghias only consume aptasia. Cryptobranch dorids, spanish dancers, and chromodoris lochi only consume specific sponges. Clown nudibranchs only eat nematocysts from jellyfish. Melibe Leonina only eats pods. Jorunna funebris only eats blue sponges. Orange peels only eat bryozoan. Nembrotha chamberlaini only eats on a tunicate name Rhopalaea. Sagaminopteron ornatum primarily consume tube worms.

You get the point.

I have been fighting off something that looks similar for months... They are bright green - and I have some neon hairy mushrooms as well as a hammer that was similar colored that had a random die off this week... Do you think these are also "Dermatobranchus rodmani"?
(I had sucked him up in a pipette and held him up to the glass to film before disposal)

Look like Vayssierea felis feed on spirobid worms.
