I agree that some LFS just have no morals when it comes to life, but plenty of greed when it comes to money. But there is good circulating around those bad owners sometimes. I was constantly going to the same LFS here as I normally did kinda made friends with a few employees, I have a 200gallon mixed reef and a 180gallon FOWLR and one day one of the guys call me and says I need to stop by so I did as they were only 5mins away at the time. I walk in and he asked if I seen anything wrong knowing I'm always a smart A@$ but always in fun, anyhow I walked around and I see a Vlamingi about 10" in maybe an 8gallon tank I about lost it, the poor thing could barely turn around. I looked at the employee that called me and he said yep. Said the owner purchased him to sell but didn't wanna set up one of the new tank they had so that he could have room, he was in there 3days with a 375.00 price tag. No he is a beautiful fish so being me and having the space I told him that I'd take him he says he new I would and also that my tank would give him enough room for the time being. He sets me up I get to check out and he had marked the fish down to 50.00 I go back and ask him and he said that fish deserves better and the owner could cry about it later. This guy lost his job and the owner decided to have some choice words with me but I politely explained that if he wasn't such a greedy, heartless, inadequate FS owner he would see that he could gain more from doing the right thing rather than trying to cramp and overstock for profit. I recieved an apology phone call from him about 2 weeks later and he gave me praise for saying it straight. Changed his ways in the store and actually gave me a couple gifts. Now when I go in there everything seems to have its place, and it's way more pleasing to the heart and eyes. The young guy got his job back and a raise also. HAPPY REEFING EVERYONE...
