How big are they? Can you see them with the naked eye? I had some zoanthids die, but can not see ANYTHING on them.

look at night. they are very hard to spot, as they have extensions on their back that look EXACTLY like zoas.

get yourself a red filtered flashlight (home depot).

nothing in your tank should even notice its there.

it works great for spotting them.

flat worm exit will 100 kill any that are hatched...

they lay eggs like crazy though, so be prepared.

my yellow coris wrasse used to eat them like crazy...havent had any in a long time.

Junior,
I didn't know Flatworm Exit would kill them. I thought Lugol's was the best way. But maybe that's only if you can dip them. It wouldn't be smart to squirt a bunch of Lugol's into a tank. I learn something everyday.

Reef-Nut, from what I've read, heard and seen with others, the eggs are the real problem. Scrape off as many as you can find, but you have to be diligent in hunting them down and removing them.

i have some too... i saw about 5-6 but only killed 2. i tried taking one out with my plastic tweesers and squashed it :/ i remember them being purple

I had them about 2 years ago. 6 line wouldnt touch em. my green coris wrass ate all of them, and the flatworms too. be careful if you use flatworm exit to kill nudis. have a huge water change ready. If you have alot of flatworms in your system they will poison your tank as they die

nudis are easily seen with the naked eye. If you suspect them, inspect and area where you have a concentration of closed polyps and you should be able to see them without difficulty. best fight is a freshwater dip. unless you are dealing with a finicky line of polyps, a 5 min or less dip should kill all active nudis. repeat after a couple days to get fresh hatches..

I have never seen one. I was just wonder what to look for. I really do not think I have them. I had one colony die and they just all melted. I really do not know why. I have sevaral other colonys that are fine. If I had nudis wouldn't some of the other colonys be infected?

Typically, yes. Also, nudis don't devour colonies quickly. The coral will show signs of stress for many days before much damage will occur.
