How many Kessil A360WE's would people suggest for a standard 75 gallon, 4' long?

It appears per Kessil's website that 2 would be sufficient, but I wanted to check in on people's experience.

I have both SPS and LPS growing well under my 48" Current Orbit Marine Pro and a two bulb T5 fixture with ATI blue's.

I had two on my 4ft 75g tank. They were about 9" above the water.

Always take what the manufacturer "recommends" and multiply by 2 for LED. And in that range you are in AP700 territory which will be a better light overall.

2 will be ok 3 will fix some blind spots but the cost of three go with AP700. Here is a pic of them on my tank.

Looks great! I've read some bad reviews on AP700. 3 Kessils for a 75 gallon is a huge investment! I was hoping to get by with 3

My buddy has one after being 100% T5s for 10 years. He finally made the switch and is loving it. I like how much you can adjust it compared to the 360s. I've thought about selling my 360s and buying the 700.

AP 700 is essentially two 360s. There are some differences but I cannot recall what they are. That said, I don't believe you will benefit from more par w/ the AP 700 compared to 2 A360s. You can't beat the shimmer or even spread of the Kessils, but you coul pick up three hydra 26s for that price.

The ap700 is a completely different animal than the 360. They are not comparable. The ap700 spread is considerably better.

I do believe the lens is different. And I have certainly been wrong before. However, I do not think you gain much in the way of intensity as the LED clusters are largely similar. My source of this info is a two BRS videos which I will try to find.

The ap700 does not use a secondary lens. It uses a reflector. The 160/360 has a primary optic and that's it. The ap700 has the same primary optic but then adds a secondary reflector. The reflector is what makes the spread very MH like. It's not about intensity but spread.
