Nursing a starving mandarin back to health

I was given a mandarin the other day by someone who couldn't keep him anymore. He told me he had it in with a female, and the female would attack him and out-compete him for food. When I got him, he had absolutely nothing left on his body, just a skeleton. When I was acclimating him, he was so motionless I had to make sure he wasn't dead. It's been two days, and I assumed he had been hunting in my live rock, since I have a ton of pods. But I noticed he wasn't far from where I let him out of the net, completely motionless. I thought he was dead until he moved slightly away from my net. Is he too far gone? Is there anything I can do to help him? He showed no interest in frozen pods and my LFS doesn't carry live. If someone can give me tips on scraping the pods off my glass in my refugium I can try to feed him with a pipette, but I don't know if he'd be interested.

The original owner had him for 3 months, so he's been starving for that long.

If you could get some better pics that would be great. Personally I would buy a whole bunch of pods online or at a different lfs and then put them in a separate empty tank (make sure it’s cycled) then maybe a piece of live rock then put the mandarin goby in with the pods by himself until he gets strong enough!
