I am thinking in investing on a reactor to further lower my nitrates and came across these 2 media. People swear by purigen I've read they are reusable so this is a major plus but they are too small and some of them escapes out of the canister while the nutrifix are perfectly sized. Speaking of nutrifix, are they reusable? i tried looking for more info on that part but it seems like nobody is discussing or mentioning it so i guess they are not reusable but is hoping that somebody with better knowledge on the product will kindly enlighten me.

my other question will be to the people with more knowledge on the subject. D-D FMR75 media reactor vs deltec FR 509. Disregard the price difference. How does these 2 fair in performance? Are they silent? One outperforms the other? in what way? Hope people who uses these reactors while chime in too.

thank you

I believe the stuff is just like bio pellets. Usually people reply but in this case it's something that most do not use, they go with other brands like TLF, etc. All the stuff does is circulate in a reactor and feeds off of nutrients which reduces phosphates and nitrates. I would honestly skip it and just go to GFO if you're phosphate levels are not too high.
