Well I'm about to dive into a Nuvo 10 I think, unless something else comes my way before the purchase and the one thing I can't figure out is what light should I go with?

I'm just getting back into the hobby after about 7yrs and LED lighting has come leaps and bounds and the wallet doesn't seem to cry, as much at the prices.

Now I'm not looking at top of the line. I want to stay within a reasonable budget, but I also know you often get what you pay for in this hobby as well.

Now before you give suggestions I know you'll want to know my plans and it is mainly going to be a LPS/euphyllia corals and anemone.

It looks like the 3 main contenders are AI Prime HD, Kessil and Radeon. Which is going to give me the most bang for the buck and why would you choose it. Keep in mind the tank size and the corals I plan to keep.

I also want simplicity. From what I gather I may need a par meter to set these lights up? If so where is the best place to locate one of those or is there a prefered app to use?

thanks in advance!

I personally love my AI prime HDs
The app user friendly and there’s even preset settings you can download from other peoples tanks that have done well.
For me there wasn’t really any need to get a par meter.
But then again the only other LED light I’ve had experience with was the nano box.

I've read that about the presets. I didn't know you could download other peoples setups though.

I should note that there is someone local to me who has the Kessil a350w for 120.00 and includes gooseneck
.

I'll second the prime, have it over my NUVO 10 and have it keep it lower than 30% for my softies. Excellent little light and a good price. Plus it doesn't need an external controller. Comes with WIFI built in and a decent phone app. And yes you can go on AIs website and download preset settings. You can also download settings from any other AI user as well or share yours.
