Nuvo 15g filtration dead space

Hey y’all, got a new tank in the mail today. It’s the 15 gallon AIO innovative marine.
Curious if anyone has any thoughts on this dead space in the back portion. Not sure what I’d even try to put there or if it’s just gonna become a trap for debris.

Maybe I’m over thinking it.

I have this same tank, and I have no idea what to do with it haha, seems like a design flaw.

I'd be interested to see if any one puts anything in there.

I placed and forgot about marine pure blocks down there. You're right tho it's absolutely dead space and accrues detritus and other organisms
