Hey everyone,

Starting my first reef tank! Just picked up an Innovative Marine Nuvo 38 Mini from the Facebook marketplace for a great deal and after a lot of elbow grease, the tank is ready to go. Just started cycling the tank and now the wait begins! Doing this build thread to learn from experienced reefers so please any advice is welcome!

Equipment List:
Tank: IM Nuvo 38 Mini
Pump: MightyJet 538Gph
Lights: Ai Prime 16
Wavemakers: Need suggestions
Skimmer: Need suggestions
ATO: Need suggestions

If you have any suggestions about equipment or how to set up the filtration better let me know. I am just here to learn!

Looks good. There's very poor circulation in the bottom where you have "live rock", and it always ended up being a detritus trap for me - so you may want to just leave that empty. Also, if a fish ends up going into the overflow they invariably always end up there (and will be harder to get out with rock).

Wavemaker: Nero 3
Skimmer: IceCap, Tunze, think ReefOctopus makes a nano now?
ATO: Tunze

Thanks for the reply! Would it be beneficial to move some of the live rock to another spot in the back? Or just remove it altogether?
