I am looking for lighting options for my Nuvo 40. Currently I have a radion xr30 gen 2 that I could use, but I also am looking at the AI Hydra series of lighting. What are your personal experiences when it comes to growth and coral health with these lights? I am leaning towards a hydra 52hd due to its extra controls. Any suggestions?

I think the XR30 would be more than sufficient. If you're set on getting new lights then I'd suggest 3x AI Prime HD. It's the same pucks but you'll be able to do more variability on the lighting. I was running 2x AI Prime HDs on my IM40 for about a year (I had to switch to Kessil because I was changing the settings too often) and I had one of them mounted on the overflow wall and the other mounted on the back. Doing this created 4" of separation and prevented shadowing. If you added a 3rd you could even do some tilted lighting or something like Jake Adams.
