Temp: 78-80 fahrenheit
pH: Never Tested
Calcium: 460-470
Alkalinity: 8.0-8.5 dKh

Nitrate: 0 undetectable using Salifert and API
Phosphate: 0 Undetectable using Salifert and API
Additives:
Currently manually dosing Red Sea Foundation in the morning and evening.I have been using NOPOX for a couple of months now and the results have been decreased algea fuel.

Maintenance:
Changing the Filter Floss Twice a week,Chemipure and Purigen ever 3-4 months. One gallon water changes are done every week using Reef Crystals.

Feeding:
By my estimates the recommend dosing of Acropower for this system is around 1mL,but I'm doing about half of that in the morning and after noon before feeding the corals a mixture of Cyclopeeze,ReefRoids,Phytofeast, and Oysterfeast. The fish get feed a couple of pellets of New Life Spectrum and a mixture of Brime,Mysis, and Plankton soaked in Kent Marine Garlic,Boyd Enterprise's VitaChem, andSelcon.

History:
This is my second marine system ever and my first sps dominate. At its birth in the fall of 2015 this was meant to be a simple Zoa garden but after going on various forums I've I got a taste for the better things in life and have become somewhat addicted to SPS corals(the bug is no joke).

Future:
Someday when I'm all done with school and have my life on track(like that's ever gonna happen) I hope to be the proud owner of a TOTM caliber stick forest. In the meantime I'm gonna try to learn as much as possible with what's on hand and with the help of this community(all advice is welcomed).

Wow 1 gallon waterchanges i wish lol. Looks great, howd you get those frags on the back wall like that?

Ha really enjoying small water changes while they last ,thanks man.At first I was thinking about taking them off the disk but thought it would be a very inconvenient removal process as they out grow the tank so I just dabbed some super glue and bam stuck them there.

Very cool!

Couple of update photos before the weekly WC.Will be harvesting some of the algae on the rocks, but kinda like watching the pods crawling around doing their thing on the algae.

Also does anyone know why the Cali Tort isn't blue?I can see a hint of green around the tips and one a piece that is higher up in the tank.Could it be K?

@Sabellafella What do you think it could be?
Ive seen cali torts turn completely green/greyish with just a hint of blue on the tips. You can try putting it a little higher or lower to see if it will change

Quick update on the Nuvo 8 ,everything is downing well haven't lost any of the livestock although I didhave to relocate some zoos that could've been a problem on the long run.Since the last update I've add a fragment of the PC Rainbow,Superman Digi and an unknown chalice frag.

Here's way over due update. As of now I've taken out the Zoas to prevent a tank takeover in addition to scrapping the GSP from back wall and glass before it has a chance to smother any coral.

Unlike my other tanks the sps are loving this tank, just look at this acro.

Do you guy believe that a higher pH is needed for sps dominate systems?Or is something around 7.7 pH a bit on the low side?

Just curious as to what your light settings and height of your prime is? I have a 8g Nuvo with a prime and trying to color up a green slimer..
