Nuvo Ext Flood Risk

Innovative Marine recently came out with the EXT line. They look sweet, include overflow with some plumbing.

How much of a risk is this overflow? It's nice it doesn't take up room but isn't there a higher chance of being blocked and the display flooding since there aren't 3 sides to the overflow "box"?

No idea, but dang that looks awesome. I am big fan of IM and I would be surprised if they did not consider the risk.

I would watch floating a fish bag or something like that in the tank as it could easily cover the weir. I would put an optical sensor that turns off your return if you have an electric just to be safe. I have one on my nano since it is a single drain overflow and I don't trust it
