Coming up in August I will be going off to college and plan to get the Innovation Marine 10 Gallon Nuvo Fusion. Evidently with a smaller tank it requires work and water parameters may vary quite fast, but what do you think would be the best setup filtration wise that would require little work? Also, what would be a good light? I am looking to do mostly softies and some LPS. I am debating between the Kessil A80 Tuna Blue Nano LED or the Nano Box Shop NanoBox Tide. Even thought I have much experience with fish tanks, this would be the smallest tank I've had so I would appreciate any feedback on this tank build even if it doesn't deal with any of my questions. Thank you.

Watch coralfish12g if you haven’t and maybe u can use his tank (they are selling it now) and a kessil a80 or an ai prime hd used or a a160we used or maybe even a used radion g3

Seems like a cool build I’ll link someone who has this tank to ur thread if I find him

Woo college! I've seen several IM10s with Kessil A80s on them that seem to do well. As far as parameters, I'd just get an ATO. I have an IM10 with an AI Prime HD that I just top off every day and it has been great. I think I'd add an ATO before keeping a fish in it permanently. You're going to have 3 breaks to worry about, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break, where there will be no one in your dorm/house to help you out, and most dorms won't even let you into the building during breaks.

I don't have any firsthand experience with the Nuvo 10 Fusion yet but I just placed an order for one. I ordered mine with the kit that includes the Skkye LED light. In doing some research, I found where someone posted this information from IM: These par ratings were taken in the Fusion 10 gallon tank. 4" - 250, 8" - 150, 12" - 60. This should be plenty to keep a wide variety of coral. I'd stick with the standard filtration system until you have a grasp on what sort of maintenance the tank requires and then upgrade as you see fit. I'd highly suggest an ATO for a system this small, as well. Cheers!

Woo! Copy and paste. Lol. Yeah I agree with the ato part. Also u will most likely have to bring it home for the breaks or find a good lfs that u trust and that they will let u leave ur tank there for a few weeks a year. My lfs does that for people moving and stuff

Woah those skylights are powerful. Some new expensive leds can barely break 300

How much controllability is there with the Skkye LED light? Is there a controller or do you simply leave it on one level of lighting and have it plugged into a timer?

I am only going about an hour and half away so I believe transporting, if needed, should be easy. My main concern is finding a good lfs in the Estero/Fort Myers, FL area. I currently am in South Florida and am kinda spoiled with some amazing fish stores.

Do you have any experience or opinions on the Tunze Osmolator Nano 3152 ATO? I have the Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155 ATO and I find it to be the best ATO I've used on my tanks so far.

That’s pretty much the best ato. I’m getting the nano version.

Oh nice. Do u happen to sell any corals or do any trades for one Coral for another?
Not at this moment. I took a little break from trying to frag and all that and just focus on making the tanks look nice. I am at the stage in two of my tanks where I am just trying to fill them up with coral before some corals start taking over. If you are looking for some very reasonably priced corals I would definitely recommend the The Coral Connect in the Dania Beach/Ft. Lauderdale area.

You should setup an algae reactor for filtration, I'll be setting one up for my IM Nuvo 40 soon!

I'm sure the marine depot algae reactor package would be perfect. They're not in stock right now though :/
