I use my note 4. I find shooting at 90° angles help.

I have tried with both iphone 6 plus and Pixel XL phones and my pics doesn't even come close to this. Can't imagine it's the dirty glass or anything.

The macro shots are hard to pull off. When I'm zoomed in that close it goes in and out of focus. I have to sit there and wait for it to focus. Then pray and snap! That pavona shot I upped took me at least 10 minutes! Ha

A couple of years ago they took the macro feature away on the Samsung line of phones. My old S3 took awesome macros. I've tried using a nice canon and nikon, but I still get better pictures with my phone.

Seems that way. Those pics are like eye candy for sure.

I have a nikon D600 but I currently do not have a macro lense so it's not so good with close up. I have been pondering on getting one just for this alone...I guess I just need a valid excuse ;)

10 min....geez! talk about patience. I guess this hobby success is built largely on patience ;Bookworm

That's why I got into it! Seems to be working so far. I think avast makes a drop down that goes over your macro lense so you can put it under water. I've seen cool macros using this.

Thx. Will be looking into that drop down you mentioned.

@Darth George - looks like I am joining the Fusion 20 club! There does not seem to many Fusion 20 thread up and running lately. I just placed a gently used tank on it's stand yesterday. I am looking forward to slowly getting this reef up and running.

Would you mind summarizing complete setup when you have a chance? Including fish/snails/shrimp etc. You look to have great success. For example, I don't think you're running a skimmer correct? Just filter sock and media basket.

I plan to keep this a low bio-load system so I will be very particular on what fish/snails/shrimp and corals I put in this reef compare to my other nano.

Thanks!

You'll have fun! Just running a filter sock on one overflow and media basket on the other with poly filter on top and chemipure blue on bottom on bottom. Bag of purfiltrum in the second chamber. No skimmer/reactor. Just swapped kessil a160 for 360 3 weeks ago. VorTech mp10 for flow(30%). Weekly 4.5 gallon wc. Feed mysis daily, reef roids tri weekly and macrovore to my flower nems once a week. I have one lightning maroon, banggai cardinal, ignitus anthia, and a blue chromis. I kill all pumps and use a baster. Everyone eats and none is wasted. I use HW marinemix reefer for my salt. Parameters stay constant: Alk: 8 Ph: 8.2 Amm, Nitrite, Phos: 0 Nitrate: 2 Ca: 425 Mg: 1400 SG: 1.026 Potassium: Never checked! Fun little tank!
