I have purchased dozens of fish from @NYAquatic in the past year. They all arrive larger, fatter, and healthier than advertised. He won't ship fragile species that aren't already eating and healthy. I've purchased regal Angels, copperband butterfly, and other very fragile and difficult care level fish from them and they always arrive packed well, healthy, and fat.

I've had no issues with disease, they don't come in all beat up, thin, or weak like most retailers. Mike has always done the right thing for me. No one should buy a regal angel or fragile fish from anyone else. I even prefer NYAquatic to divers den for these fish.

He also has lots of rare fish you won't find elsewhere. This has quickly become my favorite vendor.

Maximum maximum praise. I've bought from dozens of online retailers and received fish smaller than advertised (bluezooaquatics, and even live aquaria sometimes) And I thought it was normal to ship fish with sunken stomachs until I stated buying from them. Even live aquaria has shipped me several questionably thin fish over the past couple years. That has never happened with NYAquatic. He cares about these animals and it's evident immediately.

Highly highly recommend.

Good to know, there was a rather negative post in their sponsor welcome thread. Can't please everyone, and who knows the real story. Appreciate this review since they are local to me and I'm in need of a quality LFS for a new 160 gallon I'm starting. Cheers

I'm not sure what happened but I've probably bought 35-50 fish from him in the last 18 months and I'm happy as a clam

I bought a small purple tang from Mike. Same experience here. The fish arrived healthy, was larger than I expected and eats like a pig.
