NYC Beach Water

Hey guys,

So I've been curious about natural seawater as it pertains to its perameters. I have NO interest in using natural seawater in my tank. I just wanted to test it especially since they say you CAN use natural seawater for your reef tank if you live in a clean water area. I was told NYC is NOT that area. I tested the water today and it came back:
- 5ppm Nitrate
- undetectable Phosphate
- 8 DKH
- 440 Calcium

As I said, I'm not going to put this in my tank. I was simply doing a test and this water doesn't seem dirty at all. Am I missing something?

No, I have a simple reef test kit.
