Nyos 120 Break In

Hello I have a Nyos 120 skimmer and been running for only 2 days. I realize there is a break in period. My question is it normal to be foaming so much outside like this?

Can’t see the video but yes, mine foamed micro bubbles for a few days coming out of the bottom portion. It will go away and be an amazing skimmer. Also, every time you give it a vinegar bath the same thing will happen. Good luck!

it will settle down. set up looks new so most likely excess foaming from lingering production residues on new equipment (i.e. socks, pumps, hoses etc..). running any carbon?

no not as of yet

I’d give it a few weeks. My 160 was fine after a few days, but I cleaned it prior and all I’ve really done is tinker with the settings to get the foaming right around the bottom of the skim container. These are awesome skimmers and super quiet.

I assume it is adjusted (turning the entire tube and not just the small dial)? Also, make sure it is sitting in the proper depth. If those are both good....it will break in, just give it some time as others stated.
