Hello Everyone,

I have a 625 Litre Redsea tank and I am running a Nyos 220 skimmer, however the skimmer is still kicking out a lot of micro bubbles, I have even cleaned it thoroughly in the hope this would help however it hasn't stopped at all. If anyone could tell me how I could possibly fix this and share how and what their set up is I would be very grateful! Thank you in advance.

How long has it been running? Micro bubbles are fairly common on new skimmers until they build up a biofilm. if it is a new skimmer, cleaning will probably only prolong break in.

I will sometimes use a big lose wad of filter floss wedged in front of the skimmers outlet (don't restrict flow) the floss will catch/trap bubbles and prevent them from making their way into your tank until skimmer breaks in.

So the skimmer has been running for 4 months, is that fairly new in terms of a skimmer? I hadn't considered putting the filter floss in front of it just to try andstop the bubbles getting back into my tank....truth be told my tank is currently very poorly, my corals are dead and i'm concerned for my fish too.
