Curious to hear people's experiences of NYOS pure
I've slowly brought my KH down from RS coral pro levels to a nice stable 8.5kh & am looking for a salt that falls within that range
How do you find it for mixing & consistency?
Parameters on the box look spot on for my needs but I have seen some posts on another forum claiming the end product had a higher Dkh than NYOS claimed

Available in 20kg buckets in UK online but I've never seen it in any local or not so local marine stores

Just ordered the 20kg bucket. Moving away Red Sea blue bucket for the 1st time in 7 years. Moving away from anything Red Sea actually.
Yep I'm happy with redsea hardware but the more I compare NYOS pricing of supplements it's looking like I'll switch.the salt analysis looks spot on for me too

Bit the bullet on the NYOS pure with the 20kg bucket.
Super impressed thus far-mixes to 8.5dkh as bucket stated & a very clean fast mix.
No cloudiness either!

Yep.the cost of redsea supplementation is becoming silly.plus there were inconsistencies with coral pro for me.ive switched over to reefzlements zcomplete for dosing & NYOS will be go to salt based on how clean & fast this mixes

I normally use 2.5 cups to make 5 gallons of 1.026 fresh salt water using Red Sea blue bucket .

I used roughly 2.85 cups of Nyos pure for same 5 gallon at 1.026

I just mixed up 40 gallons of the Nyos Pure. Very impressed on how quickly it dissolves in mere minutes. I also like how they have the ICP report for the batch right on the bucket.
Hello,

Mind if you share the results of their ICP test from your bucket? Been researching new salts since I just came to the realization my hw-Marinmix is putting out absolutely no trace elements thus causing my corals to look dreary. My last ICP test came back and my Potassium was at 290

No salt can have absolutely no trace elements. Impurities alone from the raw materials bring a lot of trace elements.

You bet. I’ll post the results when I get home

Loving this salt so far.
