Added a additonal Continuum Aquatics Exxodus Nitryx Brick to the sump 2 days ago and since adding this my skimmer has been going nuts and no mater what adjustment i make it will not stop overflowing.. is this normal, anything i can do to get it working again...?

i'm no expert but I have had a skimmer or two become a bubble machine.i'm sure someone will chime in with the chemistry behind this.what I have done when this happens is shut off all air going into the pump for a day.then VERY SLOWLY over a few days return airflow keeping an eye on the foam height.not ideal and the ph will drop in most cases but I get it back on line in a few days.
I have an external skimmer so just letting it overflow is not an option.i'm hopeing someone chimes in and has some additive you can put in the tank to stop it instantly but I don't know of one.

The same thing happens when you put in a new sock or a foam pad before soaking it. It will subside on its own in a few days. Best you can do is either ride out the suds or turn your skimmer off or down.

Let the skimmer run without the collecting cup totally open for at least 12 hours then put the cup and put it back to the normal setting and he will work perfectly normal again
