Hi All

So my tank has been up for about 4 -5 months.
its a 60G 48L x 13W x 24T

I'm having an internal battle about power head positions and making sure i have the proper flow.

no sump for the tank unfortunately. HOB filter and HOB protein skimmer
two hydor 425 on the top back corners of the tank (left and right sides) angled downward towards the front middle.
and i have a small hydor in the top back middle pointing upwards for more water agitation.

i can add pictures later today when I'm home for a better reference.

I'm just wondering if anyone sees any issues for the "mental picture" i tried to paint.

I see nothing wrong with the mental picture. Are you having specific issues or something that's causing concern?

No specific issues. I just want to ensure I have everything set up properly. Im still very new to the hobby.

It's just something ya have to mess with.you may have to move a rock or two or try diff placement.heres an idea for you Easter was just a while back take a piece of Easter grass and tie it to a small rock and place in area you don't think gets flow the floating grass will tell ya sort of a visual display.for that matter make several rock and grass and place them in diff areas that will give you a more visual display.

I would inject some micro bubbles into the tank in front of the powerheads to get a good idea of where flow is strong and not strong. That will give you a better idea where dead spots will be and where to point or add flow

tried the bubble and "grass" methods. no dead spots :D two corners are very mellow but there's still at least some movement. thanks for the ideas!
