I recently added a clownfish to my 13.5g nano reef tank, I picked this awesome little mocha ocellaris that kept hosting this bta at the LFS, and decided it'd be a good idea to get him since it's already familiar with the anemone interaction...
So in my tank currently (2 days after adding the clown), I have a royal gramma inside along with the clownfish, there's a small bta in the system aswell with other coral. My goal is to eventually have the clown host the bta.
It currently pays no attention to the anemone, I think it is still trying to get used to the tank environment. My question is, I want to have a clownfish pair that host an anemone... But when I told my a worker at my LFS he said it's not a bad idea, although the female clown eventually gets fairly aggressive as it grows to other tank mates. Would it be better for me to just have one clownfish or a pair if I want to add a bicolor blenny + mandarin in the future? And if I only keep the single clownfish, will it get comfortable overtime and host the anemone on its' own?
