Hey there. If followed R2R threads a lot but just joined and this is my first ever post. I have a 29gal. Breeder tank and have the ocean revive t247 light. I can't seem to find the sweet spot for this light and it's bothering me! I feel like it's not up high enough. Just wanted some input on what people with a tank close to size as mine have their set at. If got softies and LPS corals. Thanks!!

Hi and Welcome,
I have 7 on our 300 which is 24" deep, the lights are 12" above the water, 1 light should cover your 29
just fine, after a year I have my blues at 100 % & whites @ 78 on all SPS, I have 2 glass braces on the top of the tank
and those 2 light's I run @ 82 on the whites, it was all about the color and this gives me the same color as my Radiums
did when I ran M.H. lighting.

IMO, I would start @ 12 OR 15" run the blues @ 65 & whites @ 45 to start and change ever 3 weeks up to where you like it
and your corals can handle.

Good Luck
Tom

Ok sweet thanks for the advice. I dialed them up some more tonight so we will see how things go.

I love the ocean revive light. I have all softies and lps. I haven't been able to get my blues above 20 or my whites above 8. All my corals look great but as soon as I creep it up a little more, I can see the corals close up a bit. My light is 13" above the waterline. 50 gallon cube. I have been trying to raise it by one number every week or so.

Iv got my blues at 40 and whites at about 7 and corals seem to be be doing just fine. I had them low but never seemed to do much for the corals.

i run 3 T247 fixtures on a 6ft 150 gal --- currently running 75% blues and 30% white...
