I just bought this light and I'm trying to figure out what to set the intensity to and I got a 30 gallon long tank and it's 18 inches deep and the light is 9 inches from the water and I got a couple of corals and anemones and one is a rose tip anemone and also how often do I up the intensity and by how much so if someone knows how to do this I would greatly appreciate it if you would tell me how and the corals are soft corals and I got 1 red mushroom anemone

That's a lot of light for 30 gallons!

The best I can do is tell you how I have my JBJ 28 set up with a similar 120 watt LED light. The predominantly blue channel is at slightly under 50%, and the predominantly white channel is at about 25-30%. This tank houses three anemones.

In an ideal world, it would be nice to set this up with a PAR meter.

As far as acclimating the tank to this new light....what did you have before this light? What I'd do is to start with the lowest setting in which the lights come on (or at about 15-20% if they come on immediately at 0%). I'd then start increasing about 5% a day, keeping an eye on what the corals/anemones are doing. I certainly wouldn't exceed 50% unless you could verify intensity with a PAR meter.

Hope this is a start.

We run the t247 I started at 30% blue and 5% white and went up 5% a week run it at 60% blue and 20% white over our 40b same depth as yours. Rainbow bta is colorful and seems happy it doesn't move. Coral is colorful and growing. We have a mixed reef.

I would run at lowest for a few days then bump up every few days just watch your corals they will let ya know if it's too much or too little
