Does anyone know the actual Watts used of 1 Ocean Revive T247 with the Blues & Whites @100% power?
I know they advertise there is 48 leds x 3 watts. I don't believe each unit is 120 watts.

I am trying to see if 2 48" ATI T5's are more powerful that 2 Ocean Revive T247's.

Ive been a huge fan of T5's....still am but I want to try leds for a while.

Thanks

Watts don’t equate to par, If thats what’s youre asking.

I can’t find the manufacturer par specs right now on the t247.

He may also know the wattage used.

In the center of an ati with the most common combos it’s about 150 -165 par per tube at 12in.

An led has different fall off, or penetration as most Call it. Most led penetrate deeper with less fall off. (Focused lenses.) compared to t5.

So most likely you’d replace a 4ft t5 with two t247 to equal par, but 3 to equal the coverage and spread of the par.

I have 3 SB black boxes on my 48 in tank for this reason.

I am just looking at it from a energy savings and heating perspective.
My place gets super hot in the summer and my electric bill has went down tremendously since switching all of my other tanks and projects to led.
I was keeping sps and had 6 48" bulbs running....now I only have euphyllia and run 2 48" bulbs. So far so good.
