I was wondering if you can put ocean rock into a reef tank?

Sure
It comes out of the ocean.
Now if you are looking for it to act as a filter you need some rock thats a lot more porus. It will be light weight too. What you have there is river rock washed down from the mountains. Grante, Quartz ect....
The most common used in reef tanks is stuff like Marco Reef Rock

The value of "live" ocean rock is high due to the bacteria that come along with it. The more porous, the better.

That rock does not look like it offers very much surface area for bacteria to populate. Hey if you like the way it looks then great, but it is not very "tropical" in appearance. Source?

I will be using macro rock and sand. Those rocks are for aesthetic.
