My outside corner 300 gallon reef will be turning 27 this year. Cleaning the old acrylic is getting harder as I get older. I have been researching automatic glass/acrylic cleaning systems and most of them look like they are a waste of money. But the Ocean Swipe 360 might be different. It has a polishing mode and looks like it has some power behind it. Anyone have one?

I had not heard of this before your post. This thing is incredibly neat.

I imagine if you were to do an initial deep cleaning on the tank first, this thing would never allow anything to calcify on the glass assuming it is programmed to clean once per day.

Hopefully there is another user our there that can provide a review for you.

Thanks! It’s a bit pricey, but of all the options, it seemed to be designed well. But it’s pricey and has to be supplied custom fitted to your tank. Meaning I can’t resell it if I don’t like it. So I’m canvassing for anyone who actually has used one.

Well, almost a year later, I pulled the trigger on the robot. Will post pictures.

Wow. Just checked out the website. Ingenuity at its finest! No telling what the future holds. Automatic frag placement robot! good luck with it. Looks awesome!

Watching and waiting with eager anticipation

Any chance for an update? Did you receive yours? Do you like it?

Mine had to be made special for my oddly shaped tank, so they required up to 4 months to build it. My understanding is that is up next week with allowing the holidays, so I will either get the unit or I will be reporting a scam and my lawyer will get involved. The communication has been minimal. I am still hoping it delivers as promised. Will check back in soon.

I hope you get it worked out soon and end up happy. Hopefully it's just the custom part slowing down there process... It wouldn't be super out of the ordinary to go longer than expected without nefarious intent. :(

Because of Covid, the group in Canada has shut down. They promise to get back to me to sort a few problems. I have however been getting about 80% of the robots promised usefulness. It is the only cleaning robot I am aware of that does what it does. But it hasn’t been easy to get it setup and mostly operational. My tank is a hard one, your installation might be far easier. Once I give them time to correct a few issues, I will post a full summary. In all honesty, I go from loving the thing to hating it. I hope it will eventually be love as it was a pretty hefty investment.

yes unfortunately that covid 19 drama .... then only have to be patient ... i am also interested in the ocean swipe 360 and as you say yourself this seems to me the only good system on the market today .... yes I can fully understand that love and hate story ... I will continue to follow this topic and I am also very very... curious ....

good luck ...

ps..im from the netherlands so excuse if i am grammatically wrong ...

with kind regards ......

@gregcoyote Now that you've used it for a year or so would you recommend one to friends? Are you happy with the performance?
