Just an FYI that I have a copy of the manual for my old Oceanic "Plus Series" Model 6 (or just Oceanic Model 6) that I mentioned back in this post.
Just happened to run across the manual in my files, so I figured I'd mention it here in case anyone else went looking for it like I did. (Took me quite a while to find this copy in the first place - Oceanic had no memory of this skimmer when I inquired with them.
)
PM or email me if anyone has interest in getting a copy of this.
A few basics that may be all you need in lieu of a copy of the manual:

A few basics that may be all you need in lieu of a copy of the manual:
- The inlet to the skimmer's venturi port is an odd size - 3/8".
- 3/8" is to comply with their choice of pumps - the Eheim 1250. Still the (only) recommended pump.
- Keep the water level around the same height as the drain for best performance.
- I have never found an air-valve to be required on the inlet to the venturi. Possibly because modern 1250's aren't quite as powerful as they were back in 1993...read this somewhere.
