Thats another good point PolandSpring,I had the Oceanic Mega Flow 120g and with the dual overflows like 3" in on both sides took way too much room and I really hated myself for buying it:(

yah, its even worse for me because its an 18'' deep tank and the overflow is 4'' which leaves barely any room. But i dont mind too much because i set up my scape real well, but if i didn't i would have hated it also. Its still a beautiful tank. Except for the eurobracing which limits the type of lights you can use because only a few fit in the small space it provides. But again, i am also using luke33's LED fixture which is able to fit in the space. So i got lucky and the two bad things about the tank weren't a problem for me. So kray, you should think about these two things and if they dont bother you that much then definitely buy the tech tank because it still is beautiful and if it bothers you, i think you should just try and buy a custom tank.

I had the Tech 120 and liked it very much. Big, heavy and substantial. Stand was not good, IMO. The 70 may have too much room taken up by the center overflow, as has been said. Marineland will build you a center overflow custom tank for probably less than the Tech 70 costs. The stand made for the Tech series is wobbly (feels cheap). Decent access with the side doors, but the whole tank shakes if you bump it even a little, or move an algae magnet from side to side. I got to where I used the magnet in an up/down fashion I couldn't stand to see the tank shimmy so much!

if it is a tech it may be only 18 in deep but the tech overflow is only 4 in deep and rectangle. the standard oceanic 70 has the standard 1/2 round overflow that does take up room but fun to build your rock off of

i also think that it rimless..

It seems like you people don't know what my current display is...

Petco 55g on cinder blocks... hob skimmer... no sump... huge light... ugh

I can't afford a new tank, this would not be new.

It would look sweet Kray! You can always go bigger later down the road. Go for it and prove us all wrong:bigsmile:
