I have noticed that my refrigerated Phyto is seperating, has anyone looked at this Phyto under a microscope when this happens?

How long has it been in the fridge?
Phyto will settle out of the water column to the bottom of the bottle in as little as a day.
It needs to be inverted once per day as said above.

That being said ocean magik consists of 4 different size strains so it does act a bit different than just all nano or tetra.

The phyto settles to the bottom of the container, it's the sludge you see at the bottom of the container when it sits for a day or so. Thats the actual phytoplankton, the water left above is just that, water. If you leave it long enough, you will have a thick green sludge, and clear water at the top.

It should be shaken/inverted a couple times once day to keep the phyto in suspension.

FWIW, I used to dose that weak sauce from algae barn. I have found better products and at much better prices from members on these forums. Just do a search for @Eldredge , his phyto compared to algae barns is no comparison. Much darker/denser, 8 species blend, and it's shipped fresh every Tuesday in priority 3 day shipping.

Just look at a drop of refrigerated under the microscope. If you havent, its worth a look. Critters swimming everywhere. Creeped my coworkers out, ask why I was putting it in the tank.

Are you refering to dead phyto?
Live phyto stays good in fridge for up to a month.
What brand was this?

+1 for Jay's Reef Bugs. He's cheap and it's gooooood stuffs.

I'm dosing almost 3ml/G in my 85G cube. Tank has never looked healthier, my mandarin, and wrasses are all fat and happy.

I would up your dosing tbh. Even moderate dosing instructions are usually 1ml/G.

No was referring to ocean magic. Live phyto, plenty of swimming from live critters looking at a refrigerated sample. Was still viable. Was just checking it out for curiosity sake to see what I bought.
