Planning to use the oceansmotions closeloop 4-ways for my new tank as a wave maker. Anybody has experience with OceansMotions setup? Since it will be rimless tank (72"x24"x22"), what is the best placement for the closeloop return to avoid too much surface water movement? Thanks!!

I love mine! i use it on my 150g (72x18x30) as the return... i got the smaller 4-way and it's been going strong for 2 years. As for the placement for the returns, it just depends on your rock work and where you need the flow. On mine i capped off 2 of the outlets so i only have 2 returns that alternate the current.

I used the 4 way (Squirt I think) and really liked it. My only issue was that I didn't have enough flow through it. The only issue I had with the Squirt was one of the wires came off when it shipped but I was able to solder it back on and it worked flawlessly.

It all depends on where you want to mount the OM 4 way. I mounted mine right off the Dart pump and ran flex to 4 overhanging pipes, over the back of the tank. You could mount it closer to the top and use all rigid piping. Take a look at their site at the install suggestions at the different options they have as examples and combine what you like out of each.

Check out my build thread for pics of the overhangs.
