Skimmer works great ! But how do you clean the lid when it's basically hardwired to the controller ?

Um, disconnect cable via quick disconnect.
Remove overflow switch.
Clean lid
Replace overflow switch
Reconnect cable.

I assume you have a reef octopus 200sss regal or elite. The new ones with the varios controller have a plug in (quick disconnect) overflow float switch.
It can be unscrewed from the Varios controller.
