I'll just add to the email debate, I emailed for a quote and had the answer the same day, within hours. Can't ask for more than that...
I ended up doing a diy lid, because well, happy wife, happy life...

yeah all goofing aside, i do give quotes via email. even through pm or on facebook. it usually required at least one more follow-up communication in order for me to provide an accurate quote, which is why i made the streamlined quote form. the form includes variables i need to know (zip code, feed door option) to provide an accurate quote. there are some tank designs that don't work well with these lids so my quote form has an option to attach photos of the tank as well. a lot more goes into knowing if this is a purchase for you or not -more than just a price. i have been meaning to post prices of the standard sizes for the red sea, im, sca, etc tanks.

upated the first post. listed prices for some of the more common tanks i get orders for, as well as a video showing how to measure the top of your tank. let me know if you have any questions!

why are my lids better than others?

  • i was the first one to fabricate them
  • turnaround time is 3-4 weeks, sometimes faster (i make each one myself. i do not send them out to another company to make for me, like another company does.)
  • my communication is unmatched
  • i create custom shipping boxes for every lid

Does your auto feeder food ever get caught on the lid? When I sent @cromag08 my diagram, I gave quite a wide berth for it just in case.

Hey Octo, are you now splining the net into your lids? Correct me if I'm wrong, but in previous versions I believe you had little numbs that you attached the net to. Within the next month you'll be receiving an order from me with template in hand for a Oceanic Biocube 29.

Keep up that great work!

At first I was using small acrylic screws. Then I was doing screws and spline. Now I just do spline. It's all based on what is most requested.

Once I get my new rim installed I will be requesting a quote. I will definitely need th 1/8" netting. Can you give me a rough estimate for a typical 125 with the 3 sections?

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!! If you can, PM your mailing address so I can mail out that template to you for my lid.

Thanks!

Marc

That reminds me, I need to get ahold of you to buy some new hinges to weld on my lid haha. I had my lid on the ground and my fat dog broke mine
