Octo media reactors

What's up with Octo (Coral Vue) media reactors "snug on" connectors? my BR-110 leaked, less even after using cement (drip "tears" now) and the new BR-140 arrived totally unusable because the outlet hole is oversized. Quality Dept. not paying attention?
What's the feedback out there?

No gasket applicable in this snug only connection. Even with cement, still drips.
