Hey!
Just picked up this frag. Octospawn or Frogspawn?

it has this adorable green tentacle

Also, I have a hammer & frogspawn nearby. Will they be aggressive with each other?
Thanks!

I would say it's an octo.
I'd watch out for the hammer. Sometimes they can be aggressive. Having said that, I have 1 large hammer that's been close to a octospawn for years with no issue. And I have another hammer that does reach out every once in a while and battle it's neighbors.

IMO It could be an octo or frogspawn. You don't really know until it gets bigger. I've had 'octospawn' that almost morph themselves into frospawn.

Thanks! I will! I’ve only had one victim of aggression in my tank but it was awful. Lost several heads of our frogspawn to an acan. ):
I’ll watch it though, thanks

Thanks! I’m very excited for its rouge green arm. Honestly it was sold to us as a frogspawn so we would not mind either way, it just looks very different from ours. We never had it as a baby frag though.

definitely a frog,

octos supposedely have “8 polyps per tentacle”, but anyone who has owned one knows this isnt true.. often times they have even more than 8. i guess its just called octo as a general notion that it has more polyps. the frog’s branches are usually a bit more obvious like yours giving it a more “branched look” , but compared to my 4 frogs and 2 octos, thats definitely a frog

Really cool looking frog. is that green polyp part of it? or is it another frog? If its part of it, you got a really cool grafted frog.

Octospawn and nice looking

It IS! I’m very excited to see how it will grow. It’s all coming from one skeleton :)
Octospawn and nice looking
Thank you!

Looks like a frogspawn, or Fimbriaphyllia Paradivisa. The tips of the tentacles of an octospawn are closer to the tentacle and don’t branch out as much. For octospawns, look up Fimbriaphyllia Yaeyamaensis.
