ok, maybe i'm being an idiot so excuse me here. I received this pump yesterday and unboxed. I noticed there was no assembly instructions. I can get by with the controller as there are alot of videos out there, what i was looking for is the plumbing aspect, where to and how to install the float, what fittings i should be using, etc.

I suppose you will be using this pump for the skimmer?

I have the same pump. It comes with lots of different plumbing connections. What kind of plumbing do you have?

The default for the float switch is to install in the display and prevent overflow. If you want it in the sump, to turn off if the water level gets low, you remove the floater, flip it over, then put it back on.

Soft plumbing. I just purchased the 130.4 waterbox and waiting for arrival.

You might be right, I looked at some parts that come with the return pumps and did not see the float switch, the controller looked a little different too.
Looked again, I spotted the float switch.... My bad

You’ll use the soft-plumbing connector. It’s the one that sticks out and has ridges on it. That one also has a rubber washer that you’ll put between the connector and the pump.

You might need to warm the soft plumbing a bit in order to get it over the ridges. I also recommend pushing the connector and plumbing together before screwing the connector onto the pump.

And all varios come with float switches.

thanks...

so basically no videos or manual out there?

No bad, learning something new every day is the best thing about this forum. For instance I didn't realize you could use the float for something other than a low water shut off so thanks @swensos for that:):)
I have one on my skimmer, best safety item ever.. I have had a skimmer go bezerk on me and dump skimmer nog in the sump, bad day.

I have this very pump as a backup. Havent used it yet but hear nothing but good

I am very pleased with this motor block so far. This is the nicest skimmer I have ever owned.
